The email promotion we ran list week was, among other things, a recruitment ad. Okay, it was primarily a recruitment ad. It was mailed to our entire prospect list which consists of list brokers, DM agencies, direct marketers, and our vendors.
From the choice emails and phone calls we received from a few of our broker clients, the promotion hit a nerve; the phrase that comes to mind is “biting the hand that feeds”. Ouch.
In hindsight I would have omitted our broker clients from the mailing; apologies to all of the offended.
On a positive note, the promotion resulted in an impromptu interview with Tim Parry, Senior Writer at Multichannel Merchant. Thanks Tim!
In other news, we recently announced a suite of voter lists.
